A Look back at Christmas 2007

Christmas 2007 was another beautiful holiday spent with family we had such a great time, as we do every year! It was especially great this year because my family has been apart, my brother is playing hockey up in Dawson Creek, so it was really nice to be all together again. Everyone was spoiled rotten...again!!

We played a lot of Guitar Hero, and i must say, I'm getting pretty good..here's Maya and her Uncle Durty Curty :) She was having fun, but then quickly became bored and fell asleep in her uncles arms (notice how it doesn't affect his game in the least..that's some real talent..haha)













We had a great time opening present after present..Opa and Gramma spoiled Maya to the bone! One of the most special gifts she got, was my old doll, Mom cleaned her all up and got new clothes, and now Maya can play with 'Jessie Doll'!! she got a few great gifts from Mommy and Daddy too!












On Boxing day we went on a sleigh ride, it was so magical, the horses were stunning, so strong. Lots of laughs as Jon kept getting pushed off, Maya fell asleep about 5 minutes in to it, we saw some amazing sites, and who could forget the 3 legged dog.. Although it was a little cold, the sun really shone on the way back, and we had the most amazing hot chocolate with marshmallow's after which warmed everyone right up.

















That same evening we had some games with all the family. My aunt Florence and uncle Bill from Terrace, and My aunt Yvonne and Uncle Vince from Alberta. It was great to have everyone together again, made for a lot of laughs!









Maya has really fallen in love with her gramma, its so funny to watch every time my mom comes around a corner, or in to the room Mayas face lights up..she laughs with the biggest smile on her face and waves with all her might!












The last night we were there, Maya came down with the nastiest bug, she was throwing up a lot, and after about 6 times, we took her to the ER..we only had to wait for about 5-10 minutes and she was in, they gave her some pills, and some electrolytes and we were on our way. We were up pretty much the whole night, with lots of help from my mom, we made it through. When we can home though, all 3 of us spent the next 2 days in bed with the flu, at the time i was thinking it would have been nice to spread it out, so we could take care of each other instead of us all being sick, but now its just another memory to throw in the pile :) and I'm glad we are all better at the same time too!

Well that's about it, thank you mom and dad for another great Christmas!!

coming to a mail box near you...YOUR CHRISTMAS CARDS FROM THE POELMAN FAMILY! HOORAY! i am so proud of myself that i got them out! and on time..hopefully they get there on time, next year i will start in September and MAYBE have them out in time for people to enjoy them before they get thrown in the garbage the day after Christmas , oh well...its a start!

Laundry

I was uptown at the Dr's. this morning, and came home to clean folded laundry, a dressed daughter and a clean living room! what a great husband i have...and Maya helped! how cute is she wearing daddy's grad hoodie
